An abandoned club house on the site of a proposed golf course, that never fully got off the ground, went up in flames early Monday morning.
Kern County Fire officials confirmed the blaze started just before 4 a.m. on Panama Lane, just east of South Enos Lane.
The club house was at McAllister Ranch, a proposed golf course and housing project that was later nixed.
