Cluster of earthquakes hits Northern California

Northern California was rocked with a cluster of earthquakes on Wednesday night. 

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, six quakes struck The Geysers, north of the Bay Area, starting just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The first reported quake was a magnitude 4.2 at 7:58 p.m.

Over the course of about an hour, until 9:04 p.m., the area was hit with five more.

Those quakes were registered as 4.0, 2.7, 2.7, 2.5 and 2.6. 

No injuries were reported. It's not known if there was any damage to buildings.
