Community members are holding a vigil at Representative Kevin McCarthy’s office Thursday to denounce Republican attacks on healthcare and immigrants.
Members of the Labor Council, Planned Parenthood, Faith in the Valley, Dolores Huerta Foundation, United Farm Workers Foundation, and more will be present,
The march is set to begin at 5:50 p.m. at the Town and Country Village Shopping Center. The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. at McCarthy’s office and focus on the topics of health care and immigration.
This comes after community members protested in front of a hotel Tuesday where McCarthy was speaking at a GOP dinner.
Protesters were asking for McCarthy to have a town hall.
