TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Born with cerebral palsy, 37-year-old Jacob Sawade was limited on places to go in his standardized wheel chair.

“I’m very thankful for making my dreams come true,” said Sawade.

So his community helped him out and raised over $19,000 in four months for Jacob. He was then able to buy a chair that has no limitations.

“I’m amazed on how much I mean to the town,” said Sawade.

Two of the biggest donations came in anonymously at $10,000 and $5,000.

His customized chair allows him to now stand up, ride at high speeds and through rough terrain.

Jacob says he just recently accomplished one of his many goals by riding to the top of Tehachapi Mountain. He says his next stop is the beach.
