Condors beat Colorado 5-2 and advance to Pacific Division Finals

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Condors are one step closer to winning the Calder Cup after they defeated the Colorado Eagles in Game 4, 5-2.

Saturday night's win marked the team's first-ever AHL Calder Cup Playoffs series win, as well as the largest crowd to watch a Condors' postseason game with 8,210 fans.

Mitch Callahan got things started with a breakaway and goal in the first period, 1-0 Condors. The Eagles fired back in the second with back-to-back goals to take the lead going into the third period, 2-1.

The Condors battled back in the third with goals by Evan Bouchard, Patrick Russell, Brad Malone and Luke Esposito to take the win and send the Eagles home.

The Condors now advance to the Pacific Division Finals and will face the San Diego Gulls. Game 1 and Game 2 are slated for May 3rd and 4th at Rabobank Arena.
