Today Kern County Congressman and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke about the efforts and the direct impact opioids have had on millions across the country.
McCarthy says he's planning to take tackle the issue of addiction head-on and says this week and next week Congress will continue to meet as works to get the more than 70 bills passed to battle opioid addiction.
