Congressman Kevin McCarthy has released a statement on the developments involving James Comey:
"The reporting and allegations leave more questions than answers. The American people and Congress need facts. My House colleagues and I will continue to perform our oversight duties as a co-equal branch of government. The fundamental, underlying issues at hand here are the extent of Russian influence in the 2016 election and the pervasive leaks from government officials. The Intelligence Committee has been and is actively investigating both issues and it has the House's full support in doing so."
