It was a big night for Congressman Kevin McCarthy as he took center stage at the Republican National Convention.
McCarthy took the stage on Tuesday, before Donald Trump’s children, and was welcomed by cheers and a standing ovation. In his speech, McCarthy said President Obama has not delivered on his promises and called Hillary Clinton the status quo.
The theme for the convention on Tuesday was Make America Work Again and McCarthy said the Republican agenda will bring back jobs, fairer taxes and a safer country.
The theme of the convention on Wednesday is Make America First Again and Trump's running mate, Mike Pence is set to speak.
