Congressman Kevin McCarthy will join Bakersfield Postmaster Lynda LaForce and postal service inspectors Jeff Fitch and Bill Zembridge for a press conference Friday morning.

The conference is meant to address steps that are being taken to combat mailbox destruction and mail fraud.

The leaders will also discuss what is being done to support people who have been impacted by the problem.

The press conference is taking place Friday morning at 10 at Pegasus Postal Office in Bakersfield.
