Construction on the Truxtun Avenue Operational Improvement Project is beginning May 31. 

The project will require some road closures and delays throughout next week. Officials say two eastbound lanes on Truxtun Avenue will be closed at the Truxtun Avenue-Empire Drive intersection between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon tomorrow morning.

According to the city, one lane will remain open to traffic, but eastbound drivers should prepare for alternative routes.
