A convicted murderer and serial rapist was sentenced to death by a Kern County jury on Wednesday.

Michael Charles Brown was convicted in January of stabbing and killing 39 year old Ruby Lee Jackson-Meriweather back in 2000.

Brown stabbed a woman to death in 2000 and sexually assaulted 4 women in 2007 and 2008.
