Cooling centers open for high weekend temperatures

Due to the high temperatures this weekend, the following cooling centers will be in operation from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.:

 

San Joaquin and Kern River Valley Centers

Adobe Complex Plaza, Suite H, 414 4th Street, Arvin - OPEN all 3 days

Buttonwillow Recreation and Park District, 556 Milo, Buttonwillow - Closed all 3 days

East Bakersfield Veterans Building, 2101 Ridge Road, Bakersfield - Saturday: Closed; Sunday & Monday: OPEN

East Niles Senior Center, 6601 East Niles Street, Bakersfield - Saturday: Closed; Sunday & Monday: OPEN

Kern River Valley Senior Center/Veterans Building, 6405 Lake Isabella Blvd., Lake Isabella - Closed all 3 days

The Mission at Kern County, 816 E. 21st Street, Bakersfield - Saturday: Closed; Sunday & Monday: OPEN

Gusher Hall, 271 California Street, Maricopa - Closed all 3 days

Taft Veterans Building, 213 Taylor Street, Taft - Closed all 3 days

Walker Senior Center, 505 Sunset Avenue, Shafter - Saturday: Closed; Sunday & Monday: OPEN

Wasco Veterans Hall, 1202 & 1280 Poplar Avenue, Wasco - Saturday: Closed; Sunday & Monday: OPEN
