Deputies swarmed the Corner of Oswell and Bernard streets Monday afternoon.
A viewer contacted 23ABC News saying that officers were all over the intersection armed with shotguns.
Ray Pruitt, with the Kern County Sheriff's Department said that suspicious activity was taking place, but would not explain what exactly was happening.
23ABC News learned that the situation was quickly cleared, but officials still aren't saying what happened.
