The Kern County Coroner has identified the man who died early Thursday morning on the Southbound I-5 south of Laval Road near the Grapevine Inspection Facility as 52-year-old Hmayak Yeghiazaryan from North Hollywood.

Yeghiazaryan was the operator of a box truck that collided with a tractor trailer just after 3 a.m. on Thursday.

Officials said that he was declared deceased at the scene.
