On Friday, Kern County Coroner officials released the names of the two people killed in the crash that occurred on NB I-5 at Highway 46 on Thanksgiving Day.
Officials identified the two victims as 20-year-old Reynaldo Velasquez and 51-year-old Marcina Fernandez-Flores.
Both were from the Lancaster area.

Both victims were inside their Ford FTD when they were hit in the rear by another vehicle.
The car burst into flames after the impact.

At the time, CHP officials said four other cars were involved in the crash.
Two people in the other vehicles were taken to a local hospital and two others were not injured.
