BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. — The Kern County coroner has identified a 47-year-old man from Long Beach as the victim of a traffic fatality in Buttonwillow.

According to officials, on Monday morning around 12:10 a.m. Troy Edward Turner was driving a "sports utility vehicle" down Southbound I5 just south of Lerdo Highway before losing control of the car. The California Highway Patrol said when Turner lost control of the car, it overturned.

Officials said Turner died at the scene.
