INYOKERN. CALIF. — The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the driver who died after crashing into a pole on Highway 178 in Inyokern on Dec. 19.

26-year-old Luis Felipe Lopez-Hernandez was driving the 178, east of Highway 395, just before midnight. Officials are not sure why Hernandez crashed into the pole.

The cause and manner of death are pending.
