BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a pedestrian fatality on Edison Highway.

According to officials, 48-year-old Myrna Cynthia Acosta was struck by a vehicle just east of Quantico Avenue. She died from her injuries.

A postmortem examination will be conducted to confirm cause and manner of her death.
