The Kern County Coroner has identified the pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on Friday, September 28.
Officials said that 72-year-old Maria Garcia was struck by a vehicle at River Boulevard south of Noble Avenue at 11:56 a.m. She was transported to Kern Medical where she later died from her injuries.
A postmortem examination will be scheduled.
