BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has ruled the death of a 16-month-old from Ridgecrest a homicide.

16-month-old Tayden Lee Rogers was found unresponsive at his home in the 1500 block of Thorn Street in Ridgecrest in February 2018.

The baby was taken to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In a news release Thursday, the coroner's office said Rogers' death was caused by Acute Cerebral Hypoxia and his death was ruled a homicide.

No arrests have been made in the case, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, but they are still investigating.
