The Kern County Coroner's office has officially identified 24-year-old Alyson Muniz as the victim in Tuesday night's deadly shooting in Northwest Bakersfield.
According to Bakersfield Police, Muniz was shot and killed just before 8:30 p.m. in the area of Abbott Drive just off Calloway Drive and Hageman Road.
Police have identified 24-year-old Carlos Garcia Jr. as the suspect. Police say he's 5-foot-7, 150 pounds with brown short hair and brown eyes. He's still on the run and considered armed and a threat to the community.
