BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County coroner has identified 36-year-old Jesse Lopez as the victim of a deadly shooting in South Bakersfield.
According to BPD, On May 2 around 5:35 a.m. on , Lopez was found dead in the 3000 block of Wilson Road near Wible Road. BPD says the Lopez appeared to have a possible gunshot wound.
A postmortem examination later revealed that Lopez's cause of death was a gunshot wound.
BPD is investigating the incident as a homicide.
