The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the 9-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a car driven by his mom's boyfriend.
Justin Paz was hit by the car following an argument between his mom and 38-year-old Tony Ronald Santiago in the area of Grant Drive and Lincoln Avenue on Monday morning.
The California Highway Patrol says Santiago was leaving a home, pulled out of a driveway, unsafely, and hit Justin Paz and his 13-year-old brother Gabriel Paz.
Santiago continued and also hit a fire hydrant and a fence.
Gabriel Paz was treated for minor injuries.
No arrests have been made.
