BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — An approved location for a low-barrier homeless shelter was announced by the Kern County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
According to officials, the future location will be at 2731 O Street in Central Bakersfield.
Kern Medical said it is giving $1 million to help fund the project. The proposed shelter is reportedly expected to house up to 200 people.
