A couple from Fresno was arrested Friday after deputies found them passed out in a car with a 10 month-old in the backseat.
The driver, 40-year-old Meche Rosales, appeared to be drunk and the passenger, 44-year-old Raul Gomez, appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamines, according to Fresno deputies.
The couple woke up shortly after deputies arrived Friday afternoon. Several bottles of vodka were found in the car, which was parked next to a park.
The baby was checked and is OK. Rosales was the babysitter at the time.
The mother was called and took custody of her baby. She had no idea Rosales had been drinking.
Rosales was cited for misdemeanors of DUI and cruelty to a child. She was later released.
Gomez is scheduled to be released from jail and will be cited for misdemeanors of public intoxication and cruelty to a child.
