Covered California's statewide bus tour to promote open enrollment is stopping in Bakersfield Saturday. 

Officials will discuss what’s new for this year’s open enrollment efforts including key dates and deadlines, and where consumers can go locally to receive free, in-person assistance to sign up for health insurance.

The statewide bus tour will make 22 stops across California, and will be “Covering the state in Art,” this year, working with local artists, clinics and agents across the state to highlight Covered California’s commitment to building communities, and promoting health and wellness for all Californians.

The event starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Clinica Sierra Vista Family Health Center located at 1611 1st Street. 

The fifth open-enrollment period for Covered California began, Wednesday Nov.1, 2017 and runs through Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.
