Eastbound traffic on Golden State Highway is slowing due to a crash at the Kern River.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle went off the road and down an embankment into the Kern River just after 8 a.m. Thursday. 

The CHP says the driver of the vehicle suffered minor to moderate injuries. 

The accident was cleared before 10 a.m.
