Traffic on Stockdale Highway was diverted after a crash Thursday morning.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a car traveling westbound on Stockdale Highway lost control and hit a fire hydrant. The hydrant erupted with water, causing water to burst everywhere, leading police to re-route traffic.
Two men and two women were in the car. One of the women was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the car was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Traffic has since been reopened.
