UPDATE: Lanes are now open to traffic.

A major crash on Taft Hwy near Valley Acres. CHP says a red big rig was traveling west bound when a white car traveling east veered into the lane and collided with the big rig. CHP is reporting moderate injuries but a dog involved died at the scene.

Taft Hwy lanes are blocked and authorities are diverting traffic to side streets in Valley Acres.
