BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — UPDATE 4:22 p.m. Firefighters on Saturday afternoon were battling a brush fire near the 5 Freeway in the Castaic area that grew to 150 acres and was 50% contained, officials said.

23ABC news crews captured this fire along southbound I-5 near Pyramid Lake.

Our team on the ground said traffic is also backed up heading southbound on I-5 near Santa Clarita.

Fire crews are on scene responding. We are working to get more information.
