BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Fire and Bakersfield Fire crews responded to a structure fire Saturday morning in northwest Bakersfield near Stockdale Highway, just before 10 a.m.
The home was located on Nord Avenue.
Officials said one resident of the home engulfed in flames suffered minor smoke inhalation injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation but officials said it appears to be accidental.
