BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — CSU Bakersfield Athletics is offering federal employees free tickets to athletic events during the government shutdown.
Federal employees who present a valid federal ID will receive up to four free tickets to any CSUB men's and women's basketball game or wrestling match in January. Tickets can be claimed ahead of time by calling 661-654-BLUE or filling out a ticket information form online. Tickets can also be claimed on game day at the Icardo Center Box Office beginning an hour before the event starts.
Federal employees are eligible to check out these games for free:
- Jan. 17, 7 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Kansas City
- Jan. 19, 7 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Chicago State
- Jan. 20, 2 p.m. – Wrestling vs. Northern Colorado
- Jan. 24, 7 p.m. – Women's Basketball vs. California Baptist
- Jan. 27, 2 p.m. – Wrestling vs. Stanford
- Jan. 29, 7 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. UC Santa Cruz
