California State University Bakersfield held their second-annual zombie apocalypse scavenger hunt on Tuesday.
The purpose of the event is to teach students about the importance of safety and emergency preparedness.
Students started their emergency preparedness scavenger hunt at the Student Union patio, where they were given a ticket to be stamped at the various stops along the way. They collected safety-related items along the way.
By the end of the scavenger hunt, each student finished up with an emergency kit. They were able to turn their tickets in for a free lunch with Halloween-themed treats.
CSUB students, faculty and staff also competed for prizes and tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
