California State University Bakersfield held a special panel to break down the ethics behind the right to free speech Wednesday night.

Recent events at college campuses have revealed significant tensions around that Fist Amendment right.

CSUB has not been exempt from this controversy as the proposed, and now cancelled, visit of Milo Yiannopoulos and subsequent debate and media coverage has shown. 

The University's Kegley Institute of Ethics wanted to hold a discussion to address any concerns students might have. 

The panel also explored both the limits to and protections of free speech on campuses.
