BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Walter W. Stiern Library at CSUB is hosting a Writer in Residence series on Wednesday, March 13 with author Reyna Grande.
The award-winning novelist and memoirist has received an American Book Award, the El Premio Aztlán Literary Award and the International Latino Book Award.
“The award-winning memoirist and novelist, Reyna Grande, was selected because her story of success is inspirational and her writing is amazing,” said Curt Asher, Dean of the Walter W. Stiern Library and the founder and director of the Writer in Residence Project.
Grande will read from her sequel, "A Dream Called Home (Atria)," which was released on October 2, 2018 in the Dezember Reading Room of the Library at 6 p.m.
This program was launched in 2012 and was designed to bring an author or poet to campus to provide a reading in the spring and one-day creative writing workshop in the summer.
