The Cal State Roadrunners have been in the spotlight since Saturday’s big win over New Mexico State and on Tuesday they gave back to their faithful supporters by hosting an open practice.
Several hundred excited fans showed up to see the Runners before they leave for Oklahoma on Wednesday morning.
After the practice, the players invited fans onto the court to shoot some baskets and sign autographs for the kids.
The team then took pictures with the fans and the WAC championship trophy.
The players admit the attention takes some getting used to but say the support is always welcome.
As the team heads off to Oklahoma, coach Rod Barnes says the guys are ready and he's told them to take it one game at a time and the team is confident they can pull off the upset.
