California State University Bakersfield, along with Kern High School District partnered today, Friday October 13, 2017 to talk about early and dual enrollment programs. The purpose of dual enrollment programs is to help high school students get college credit before they graduate high school.

On the morning of Friday October 13, 2017 CSUB President Dr. Horace Mitchell and Kern High School District Superintendent Dr. Bryon Schaefer signed an agreement for collaboration on the programs.

In the last year, CSUB has helped serve more than 800 local high school students in summer programs like the REVS-UP program and other courses offered at the high schools during the school year.

There are currently plans to offer more of these courses to local high school students including math, Kinesiology, and geology.
