BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — California State University Bakersfield released an emergency notification on Thursday stating that an individual that had been on campus during business hours on July 8-9 has tested positive for COVID-19, reportedly the school's second positive case.
The first report said an individual who had tested positive for the virus was on campus between June 30 - July 2.
While the individuals may have been contagious, CSUB believes that those who were in close contact with them have been properly notified. CSUB has also enacted suitable safety precautions following this development.
The college encourages those experiencing symptoms to contact their health care provider and alert Erika Delamar, CSUB COVID-19 case manager at (661) 654-3453.
