The California State University, Bakersfield, Social Justice department is hosting the California State Assembly Legislative Hearing on the Status of Boys and Men of Color Tuesday afternoon.
The hearing, which will run from 1-3 p.m. in the Dezember Reading Room, will address California's upcoming status as a "minority" dominant state.
The Select Committee on the Status of Boys and Men of Color has worked the past several years to determine some of the challenges present with Latinos and African-Americans having high incarceration rates in California.
