Southern California Edison's public safety power shutoff has led to the closure of one school in the Tehachapi Unified School District on Thursday.
According to the Kern Superintendent of Schools website, Cummings Valley School will be closed Thursday due to the planned power outage. All other schools in the TUSD will be open.
Power is also out at the Valley Oaks Charter School's South Street site. Classes will be held at the Brian Way site.
