The parent of a student at Castle Elementary School in southwest Bakersfield says his son was injured after a staff member pushed him at school today.
Jeremy Moore says his 5-year-old son, Braylen Moore, told him he was at recess Wednesday afternoon when a staff member pushed him trying to get him back inside. Moore says that when Braylen was pushed, he tripped and fell into a wall.
Braylen was taken to the nurse’s office where he was treated with an ice pack and was sent back to class. While back in class, his father says, Braylen threw up twice.
Moore is upset that he was never notified his son had hit his head until he called to ask what happened.
Braylen was taken to a hospital where he was diagnosed with mild concussion. He was released this afternoon.
Moore filed a police report at the school and the hospital.
23 ABC reached out to both castle elementary school and the Panama-Buena Vista School District and officials there said they wouldn’t be available for comment until Thursday.
