KERN COUNTY, Calif. — The Kern High School District Board of Trustees will be honoring the late David Marcus with special recognition at Monday night's meeting.

Marcus, a huge fan of Centennial High School athletic teams, is being recognized for his support of the district. Marcus fought a courageous seven-year battle with colon cancer before passing away in June.

One of his proudest achievements was being named the greatest community supporter and being awarded a Kern High School District PEAAK Award in 2018.
