Day two of the 28th annual Lake Isabella Fishing Derby is set to get underway Sunday morning.
On Saturday, 7-year-old Andrew Miranda set the bar for the largest trout. Miranda also set a record for the Lake Isabella Fishing Derby with a trout measuring 30 and 3/8 inches.
He said he used green garlic power bait to snag the trout. He is currently sitting in first place.
Ten other participants were awarded the $100 prize after they entered into the Bobber Bowl. To qualify, participants had to have a trout within one inch from 5th place on the leader board.
The fishing derby continues Sunday and Monday.
