Today is the 10th annual drug take back event, with the goal of keeping prescription drugs out of the hands of kids, teens and those who could abuse them.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with the DEA for the event.
They'll collect unwanted or expired medications for safe disposal with no questions asked.
Anyone who wants to empty their medicine cabinets can drop off the bottles from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the sheriff's department on Norris Road.
