One person died after a single-rollover crash Sunday afternoon on State Route 178.

The crash occurred just after 2 p.m. when officials say the driver of the vehicle lost control of the wheel and went over to the right shoulder. 

CHP says the vehicle rolled over three times, ejecting the driver from the car. The victim, 28-year-old Angela Romero of Bakersfield, was pronounced dead shortly after. 

No one else was injured and the cause of the crash is under investigation. 

One lane is currently open to all traffic and officials say all lanes will open shortly.
