Bakersfield Police Department confirmed three fatal accidents across Kern County on Saturday night. 

According to BPD at 9:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to Westside Parkway at Coffee Road. Officers noted the driver of a silver Toyota SUV had major injuries. Shortly after, medical responders declared the driver deceased. 

BPD said their investigation concluded that the driver was going eastbound on Westside Parkway toward Coffee Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, slid off the roadway and rolled several times.

The eastbound lanes of Westside Parkway were closed for several hours between Coffee Road and Calloway Drive Saturday night. 

The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and his identify has not been released. The identify will be released by the Coroner's office.
