(UPDATE: August 2, 2018 6:19 P.M.) According to Kern County Sheriff's Office, the victim of the deadly highway crash on Wednesday has been identified by Kern County coroner as Marjorie Helen Rost, 51.

According to KCSO, Rost was the driver of the vehicle that collided with another vehicle on SR-65 just south of Lerdo Highway.

She was declared dead at the scene from her injuries.

According to California Highway Patrol, a Fed-Ex truck and Ford F-150 collided on SR-65 and James Road, north of Bakersfield, just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1.
