Scissons was a resident of Hanford.

Sergeant Basil Zuniga of the California Highway Patrol said around 6 a.m. on Sunday, CHP received a call for a two-vehicle crash on Highway 46 just west of I-5.

When officials arrived they found a white Chevrolet pickup truck and a Black Chevrolet Malibu invovled in the crash.

The initial investigation revealed that the black car was traveling eastbound on Highway 46 drifted across the median into the westbound lanes and hit the pickup truck head on.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.

The black car had three people inside. The driver, Scissons, died at the scene. The two passengers were taken to Kern Medical.
