Dealing with harassing phone calls

Posted

We've all been victims of telemarketing calls.  They can be a pain, especially when they keep calling and won't take no for an answer.  That's what happening to one woman in Bakersfield.

Aneesah Hasan says the calls started last week and every time she tries to block the calls they keep coming. She wants to get the name of the company out there so others can be aware.

“Foundation for American Veterans, Inc.” is asking her for donations anywhere from 30 to 100-dollars.  They call different times throughout the day, sometimes as early as 6 a-m to as late as 11p-m.

Hasan says she tried to have the calls blocked but they still get though because this company uses a bunch of different numbers.

You find the company on the Better Business Bureau website where there’s a list of complaints about the company.

The Better Business Bureau says the best way to protect yourself from these types of calls is to put your number on the national Do-not-call list which prohibits telemarketers from calling you.
