Death of 72-year-old being investigated after found unresponsive in pool

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The death of a 72-year-old man is being investigated after he was found unresponsive in his swimming pool.

According to KCSO, around 8:11 a.m. on January 8, 72-year-old Richard Stricker of Bakersfield was found unresponsive in his swimming pool at his residence in the 7000 block of Pembroke Avenue in Northwest Bakersfield. KCSO says Stricker was transported to Adventist Health Bakersfield, where he died around 9:14 a.m.

A postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
